HS2 Delta Junction | Specialist Labour and Civils Support | Rorcon

Rorcon supported Balfour Beatty VINCI on one of the most complex sections of the HS2 route, supplying specialist formwork carpenters, scaffolders, chargehands and lifting supervisors to deliver key elements of the Delta Junction structures. The works demanded a disciplined approach to safety, coordination and technical execution, given the scale of the asset and the number of interfaces involved.

Our team integrated directly with BBV’s delivery operation and maintained consistent manpower levels throughout the programme. The focus was on providing reliable, high-calibre tradespeople who could work within a major-project environment and meet the quality and efficiency standards required on HS2. Each phase relied on tight sequencing, controlled lifting operations and close communication with BBV’s supervision teams, which meant our workforce had to perform at a consistently high level without disrupting the wider delivery plan.

Rorcon’s involvement contributed to maintaining progress across several critical structures and supported the project’s wider objectives for safety, productivity and programme certainty. The steady and dependable labour supply reduced resourcing risk for BBV and helped ensure that key activities were executed on time and to the standard expected on a nationally significant infrastructure scheme.

Our work at Delta Junction reinforces Rorcon’s capability to deliver specialist labour and supervision on major civil engineering and tunnelling projects. It also demonstrates our ability to operate within the pressures of a complex environment and still provide clients with a reliable, professional and technically competent workforce.
