Crossrail C435 Farringdon Station
Farringdon Station was the junction point for where the Eastbound & Westbound Running Tunnels for Crossrail met. Major network of underground construction had to be built with numerous caverns and adits to accommodate the new Crossrail ‘Elizabeth’ line. In addition to this, enlargements to the running tunnels were made to form new station platforms. Rorcon were engaged by Bam Ferrovial Kier JV (BFK) to provide suitably qualified personnel to assist with all of the tunnelling and underground works required to build the underground portion of the new station.
